A' Grade for the College
Heathfield Community College has been recognised as being in the top 25% of schools within the country re-inforcing the college as an ‘A' Grade school (grades range from A*—E, from excellent to requiring improvement). Not only does the college receive an 'A' Grade on the basis of its results compared to national figures, but in achieving 69% of its students with 5 or more higher grade GCSE passes at A* - C and 98% of students with 5 or more passes, the college equally gained an A for its value added. The value added is the measure most favoured by educationalists to reflect the progress being made by students within schools. The ‘A' Grade reflects a very high level of attainment and progress being made, compared to schools both nationally and within the county.
